Project description
Robot recruitment for inspection and maintenance operations
Industrial robots can be used to inspect and maintain machines and facilities in industries like energy, transport and civil engineering. Usually done manually, the automation of these operations will increase efficiency. In this context, the EU-funded RIMA project will facilitate the uptake of inspection and maintenance technologies. Specifically, it will establish a network of 13 Digital Innovation Hubs on robotics sharing best practices. The project will also provide education and training on automated inspection and maintenance operations in order to accelerate growth in the field. Among the expected results is the increased competitiveness of the EU’s robotic inspection and maintenance sector.
