Obiettivo The research project foresees the development of new molecular entities based onmetal-labeled peptides and peptidomimetics able to target with high affinity and selectivity receptor sites overexposed in human tumours. The receptors identified as the most attractive targets for the engineering of novel diagnostic tools are cholecystokinin and foliate. The new molecules will be used as diagnostic probes in nuclear medicine and magnetic resonance imaging depending upon the coordinated metal. The development of prototype contrast agents suitable for clinical diagnosis costumers in humans is the final goal.
