2016 EU-China Think Tank Workshop on Science, Technology & Innovation took place in Beijing, September 2016

What does China's 13th Five-Year-Plan say about China's innovation strategy? What is China's research funding reform going to impact the EU-China STI cooperation? Does STI cooperation help to build a more balanced economic partnership? All these questions were discussed during this event.

This event took place on 6 September 2016 in Beijing. Eight well-known speakers and panelists shared information on a variety of topics including: Innovation Chapter of the 13th Five-Year-Plan, Chinese research funding reform, foresight studies of China's innovation, and the role of STI cooperation in building balanced economic partnership.

Chinese and European Think Tanks and science counsellors from EU Member States & associated countries had a fruitful day discussing and elaborating these topics.
