Health and the new communications age: Shaping the information society
The proceedings of the conference on "Health and the new communications age: Shaping the information society" will be published by DG XIII of the Commission in April 1995. The conference took place in Lisbon on 6-10 December 1994. The conference examined the impact of high capacity information and telecommunications networks on health care and their role in improving access and quality, and influencing new health services. The Health Telematics area of the Telematics Applications programme under the Third and Fourth Framework Programmes was also discussed.
