Commission Decision concerning the financing of a plant health programme in the Azores
The European Commission has published a Decision on the Community's financial contribution to a plant health programme in the Azores. The objective of the programme is to control organisms that are harmful to plant or plant products. The official programme relates to the control of "Popillia Japonica New" on the island of Terceira, with the ultimate aim of eradicating the organism from the area altogether. The Community's financial contribution is limited to a maximum of 75% of total expenditure. The Community's contribution for 1995 is set at ECU 650,000 for an estimated total expenditure of ECU 866,667.
