The European Commission, DG VII, has launched a restricted call to tender for a study on transport forecasting, goods and passengers, horizon 2020. The Commission intends to invite around ten consultants to tender for the study on the basis of requests to participate received.

The aim is to have an up-to-date database and forecasts of transport for the European Union on the basis of macro-economic assumptions. In addition to a reference forecast, various assumptions and policies must be tested in alternative scenarios, an integrated database of transport flows by mode, goods category and purpose of the trip must be delivered as well as detailed transport forecasts.
