The Fifth European Conference on Speech Communication and Technology, EUROSPEECH'97, will take place in Patras, Greece, on 22-25 September 1997. It is being organized by the European Speech Communication Association (ESCA).
The conference will present the latest research activities, developments and applications in the field of speech communication and technology, such as telecommunications, automation, access control and education.
The Language Engineering section of the Telematics Applications programme is providing support to public laboratories and institutes to enable them to participate in the scientific and industrial exhibition which will take place in parallel with the conference.
