A congress entitled 'Improving sustainability in organic and low input food production systems' will take place from 20 to 23 March in Stuttgart, Germany.

This is the third in a series of events organised as part of the EU funded Integrated Project (IP) Quality Low Input Food (QLIF). The project aims to improve quality, ensure safety and reduce cost along the organic and 'low input' food supply chains through research, dissemination and training activities.

The congress will focus on the following topics:
- consumer perceptions, expectations and attitudes about the quality, safety and sustainability of low input food supply chains;
- quantifying the effect of organic and 'low input' production methods on food quality and safety and human health;
- improving crop and soil management practices;
- improving livestock management practices;
- improving food processing;
