Conference on women in engineering and technology research
The event is organised in the framework of the EU-funded PROMOTEA (Empowering Women Engineers in Industrial and Academic Research) project. The goal of the conference is to gather together specialists to exchange views on gender issues in engineering and technology research careers.
Five plenary sessions will address the following topics:
- gender dynamics of male and female careers;
- differential effects of organisational cultures on male and female careers ;
- recognition of excellence in engineering and technology research;
- identification and evaluation of good practice;
- transversal issues raised by PROMETEA research.
In addition to these five sessions, a roundtable will bring together men and women working in engineering and technology research, students who plan to become researchers, people responsible for research policies and researchers working on gender and research.
