Risultati finali

Toolbox

The knowledge and lessons accumulated through FARMWELL activities around specific themes will be compiled into a comprehensive toolbox that can also be used for training purposes, including: Social innovation practices elaborated in details, including cost-benefit aspects (SROI); Lessons from pilots (experience of “host” farms and feedback collected from “visiting” farmers); Experience from multi-actor exchanges, including practice groups and European meetings; Multimedia tools developed: documentaries, podcasts, short animation films.

Multimedia products

The most inspiring practices, specific challenges, aspects, successful farmer-society linkages, etc. of selected cases will also be featured through multimedia tools (approx. 6). Social Innovation Database

Examples will be classified according to key categories challenge target groups type of intervention geography etc and presented in a searchable FARMWELL Social Innovation Database The Database structure will be adapted to the common format of EIP AGRI practice abstracts httpseceuropaeueipagriculturesitesagrieipfilesh2020templateeipjan2019xls

Final mapping reports & synthesis report

Challenges identified will be discussed indepth and validated through a multiactor approach during the first set of practice group meetings The Europeanlevel draft synthesis report as well as national cases will be presented and discussed through interactive methods within the Europeanlevel thematic network exchange Following the national practice group meetings the draft mapping report in each partner country will be finalised by research partners The European synthesis report will be finalised following the Europeanlevel thematic network exchange

First set of Practice Abstracts

The resulting innovative knowledge and easy accessible enduser material from this project will feed into the EIPAGRI The agricultural European Innovation Partnership website for broad dissemination The enduser material to be produced contains a substantial number of summaries for practitioners in the EIP common format practice abstracts including the characteristics of the project eg contact details of partners etc A full package of practice abstracts will be produced by the project containing all the outcomesrecommendations which are ready for practiceA practice abstract is a short summary of around 10001500 characters word count no spaces see below which describes the main informationrecommendationpractice that can serve the endusers in their daily practice Guidance and templates for these practice abstracts are available on the EIPAGRI web site httpeceuropaeueipagricultureencontenteipagricommonformat A total target number of 80 practice abstracts is foreseen for the project Half of them are expected to delivered in the first batch

Factsheet

Based on the lessons of the project, a practical factsheet will be prepared for policy-makers on how best support social innovations in their countries and assess their outcomes. It will be widely disseminated during events, especially the final conference.

Practice Group meetings

The first set of 6 practice groups will discuss and identify specific challenges and potential barriers and jointly reflect on the draft mapping reports During the initial discussions the identification of the most relevant social innovation practices will also be started

Second set of Practice Abstracts

"The resulting innovative knowledge and easy accessible end-user material from this project will feed into the EIP-AGRI (The agricultural European Innovation Partnership) website for broad dissemination. The end-user material to be produced contains a substantial number of summaries for practitioners in the EIP common format (""practice abstracts""), including the characteristics of the project (e.g. contact details of partners, etc). A full package of practice abstracts will be produced by the project, containing all the outcomes/recommendations which are ready for practice.A practice abstract is a short summary of around 1000-1500 characters (word count – no spaces; see below) which describes the main information/recommendation/practice that can serve the end-users in their daily practice. Guidance and templates for these practice abstracts are available on the EIP-AGRI web site: http://ec.europa.eu/eip/agriculture/en/content/eip-agri-common-format .A total target number of 80 practice abstracts is foreseen for the project."

Final event and report

The final event will be one of the main platforms where all the results of the project will be disseminated. The European Thematic Network will typically have some 30 to 40 members: representatives of project partners, national and local stakeholders from non-partner countries, and EU-level representatives of stakeholders and projects.

SROI Guide

An SROI Guide will be developed through a threestage process Exploring change Measuring change and Valuing change The guide will be complemented with a template to gather information to enable forecasting SROIs of six pilot actions and to collect SROI indicator data

Performance: We pig farm

We pig farm presented at Europeanlevel thematic meeting by NH Director Lucas de Man with the aim of highlighting key social issues in farming as well as generate discussion among stakeholders

Case studies

Approx. 14 examples elaborated through case studies: Partners will elaborate on the details of examples selected beyond the practice abstract format, with a strong focus on the practical aspects of their implementation of interest for farmers, including analysis of cost-benefit aspects of the practices.

Pilot actions

At least 6 pilot actions selected / one in each partner country (6 pilot action reports produced): At least one practical innovation action will be carried out in each partner country according to the specific needs of farmers to allow experimentation and co-learning. Practical actions might take the form of hands-on peer exchange between farmers; small-scale social innovation pilots; social innovation support actions. Pilot actions will be based on collaborative / interactive models, particularly aiming at creating new linkages and connections between farmers and other stakeholders, building their capacity for long-term cooperation.
