Assessment of transition models & their adjoints (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Development of the Adjoints to the Transition Models used in NEXTAIR. Presentation of results on the NLF wing, comparisons, assessement of the use of the adjoint to the transition model in terms of the accuracy of objective function gradients. Linked to task 1.2.

DENs to Speed-up MDOs (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Report on the benefits from (b) linking the NEXTAIR s/w with EuroHPC programs, (b) using multi-level approaches in MDO, (c) mesh adaptation in laminar wing cases, (d) computing Pareto fronts by adjoint. Report on techniques to reduce the cost of unsteady adjoint. All with demonstration in NEXTAIR cases. Linked to task 1.3.

Instant CFD demonstrator on NACA0012 design and ONERA M6 wing cases (publicly available) (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Demonstrators of (i) a hybrid deep learning and multi-ridge framework that can predict entire RANS flow-field instanteously (ii) dimension reduction methods for flow-fields rooted in computational optimal transport and manifold optimisation; and (iii) lambda-DNN based approach for fluid flow-field and interactions. The outputs will directly feed into the robust design of a high bypass-ratio fan in WP4/WP5, along with the Digital Twin of the heat exchanger in task 6.3. The lambda-DNN approach will be deployed in WP3/4. Linked to methodologies devloped in task 2.1.

Creation and delivery of the complete visual identity materials to partners in order to ensure the transfer of a recognisable and coherent image of the project in all communication and dissemination activities. Linked to task 7.2.
