Hyper powered vessel battery charging system

Risultati finali

Communication and Dissemination Plan (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Planning and developing a dissemination plan that is detailed and described in the “Impact”-section of this document.

Report on simulation and performance (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Simulate some case studies of future business plan of the ports considering the digital twin developed in WP2 and the identified use cases in T6.2.

Report on software control unit (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Design and develop a new power and energy management architecture to address non-mechanical fast turnaround charging times for battery electric ships. In this deliverable, the control unit of each component will be developed and coupled with the sub model of each component. In this regard, this deliverable will develop two layers of control strategy. The first layer (upper control layer) will observe the energy availability, grid constraints, arrival/departure time of vessels which will be provided by existing historical data from ship operators in the ports

Report on operational optimization (si apre in una nuova finestra)

A cloud solution will be designed and developed for the system considered which allows the daily operational management of the charger, including IoT and cloud capabilities. This cloud solution platform considers diverse layers: the communication and information layers to interact with vessel, port and charger (which leads to data management, pre-processing, storage and communication with functional services)

Report on stakeholder integration and business model requirement (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Define the main aspects of the strategic vision, as requirements, solutions, current and future operations, and economic risks of stakeholders, and how it can be factored into business models for electrical ships and their port operations and to develop an overarching view on hyper vessel charging business in European and Global shipping industry.

High power charging technology overview (si apre in una nuova finestra)

A comprehensive report on current, and projective market analysis on future hyper power charger, to be used as a technological guideline for further investigation in maritime market.

Marine hyper charging application overview, KPI's and specifications (si apre in una nuova finestra)

This deliverable will include a global market analysis of the fleet of vessels that require hyper power charging or vessels already in operation or under construction, and best estimates on future numbers for 2025 and 2030. The report will include number and types of vessels, their operational requirements. Then the global market analysis will be extended to ports that need a hyper power charging service to host vessels with hyper charging needs. The analysis would lead to operational specification of the vessels and ports, but also the operational requirements of the charging system users. Furthermore, this deliverable will define the relevant KPI’s that will be used to evaluate the solutions developed in WP2 to 5 and to evaluate the business models in T6.1.

Report on digital twin of whole system (si apre in una nuova finestra)

This deliverable is a report including digital twin development of the system including on-shore and off-shore components (battery, AC/DC converter, transformer). it will be composed by electric, magnetic and thermal models.

Full analytical business model report (si apre in una nuova finestra)

New business models for electrical grid and port operation towards green transition based on inputs from T6.1, involving an analysis of strategic vulnerabilities and management of business risk.
