The self-assessment tool for IPSPs will be a web based interface that would allow IPSPs to self evaluate the degree of compliance with the European Quality Standard , and to get a detailed and graphic report on its strengths and weaknesses.

Extensible Quality Standard in Institutional Publishing (EQSIP) v2.0 (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

The Extensible Quality Standard in Institutional Publishing will be based on D3.1 (IPSP Best practices), D3.5 EQSIP V1.0, and T3.4 gap analysis on IPSP landscape. It will comprise specific definitions and measurement strategies for those best practices, as well as a definition of the assessment process.

The deliverable will provide a collection of reusable training materials, including self-learning courses and webinars, on the basis of the toolsuite built in D4.2 and the Guidelines provided in D4.3.

This will be a full IPSP toolsuite including the quality and sustainability self-assessment tools built in WP3&5, an IPSP management toolkit (financial & legal matters, licensing, IT, editorial & production, marketing & comms, funding, and preservation). The deliverable will provide a description of toolkits, guidelines, and training materials helping IPSPs to manage and increase the availability of multilingual content, incl. multilingual publishing of full texts and abstracts, human translation services, and machine translation tools and literacy, and to address language and gender biases in their operations.

A synergy report built on the work of the other WPs mapping IPSPs to their host organisations. The typologies identified by the project will be used to identify various categories of institutions, which will inform how they are approached. The final report will be a summary of the results of the landscape analysis reporting on the structure of IPSPs in individual countries and in Europe as a whole

This report will summarise the findings of extensive research into the costs and funding of IPSPs in the ERA, e.g. the role of volunteering and in-kind contributions, revenue models and accounting practices using desk research and survey data. Including quantitative and qualitative data calling on survey data, interviews and focus groups It will also highlight a range of revenue model practices and sustainability challenges. It will describe a range of types of FDSs that fund IPSPs and map these to sustainability issues.

The deliverable will provide a registry for IPSPs on the basis of the IPSPs database that will be created in wp2

Design of the future OA Publishing Capacity Centre (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

The deliverable will bring together the outputs of WP4 tasks into the design of a single Common Access Point containing guidelines, toolkits, training materials, translation facilities, and knowledge-exchange hub

National overviews on sustaining institutional publishing in Europe (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

The deliverable will provide national case studies exploring how IPSP operations are funded and sustained in different policy and publishing tradition contexts

The report will define the scope of the work to be undertaken in terms of geography output types a taxonomy of IPSPs based on organisation types financing models service types and levels as well as an agreed terminology and definitions to be used consistently throughout DIAMAS

The QRMP will outline the actions to be undertaken during the lifetime of the project to insure quality of the deliverables reviewing process and manage the risks mitigation measures

Recommendations and Implementation Guidelines for institutions, for FSDs and Policymakers (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

The recommendations and implementation guidelines for Funders, Sponsors, and Donors (FSDs) and policymakers will focus on funding strategies to support institutional Open Access publishing service providers. These recommendations will be co-designed with a representative sample of FSDs, including Science Europe member organisations and others at the local, regional, national, and European Union level. Engagement will be sought from institutional leadership to promote strategic buy-in as well as actionable and practical implementation

These guidelines should provide an in-depth and clear definition of the standards so IPSPs understand how to comply with the EQSIP standards defined in D 3.2. Guides should be translated and should use plain English.

The report will outline existing quality evaluation criteria best practices and assessment systems for IPSPs developed by international associations RPOs governments and international databasesdirectories

EQSIP 10 will be based on an analysis of existing standards best practices evaluation criteria guidelines and recommendations relevant for institutional publishers It will be further tested with a representative sample of IPSPs selected from the landscape survey to be conducted in the DIAMAS project and the results of the testing will be used to T34 gap analysis
