Europäische Jugend über die großen gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen unserer Welt
Die spanischen Einrichtungen der Gruppe 9 der Universitäten (G-9) kommen zum dritten Mal in Folge in einem Konsortium zusammen, um gemeinsam die Europäische Forschungsnacht 2022 und 2023 zu feiern, die von der Universität Kantabrien koordiniert wird. Wie jedes Jahr beziehen sich die Aktivitäten auf die wissenschaftliche und technologische Verbreitung. Im Zeitraum 2022-2023 wird das Konsortium das EU-finanzierte Projetk G9MISSIONS organisieren, welches sich darauf konzentriert, das Bewusstsein für klimaneutrale und intelligente Städte, die Anpassung an den Klimawandel, Krebs sowie gesunde Böden und Gewässer zu schärfen. Das Projekt besteht aus zwei Hauptveranstaltungen, drei öffentlich zugänglichen Vorveranstaltungen, Schulaktivitäten und zwei Nachbereitungsveranstaltungen als Abschlusstreffen zur Analyse der Auswirkungen.
Ziel
The G9 GO FOR THE MISSIONS (G9MISSIONS) will be our 3rd experience as a consortium in managing the European Researchers Night in Spain, covering 40% of the Spanish territory. University of Cantabria will be the coordinator of a team composed by eight Spanish universities acting as beneficiaries. The overall initiative will be centred on the five European research and innovation missions that aim to deliver solutions of the great societal challenges facing our world (climate-neutral and smart cities, adaptation to climate change, cancer and healthy soils and water). G9Missions will promote awareness and encourage them to find solutions together to make a real difference. Engaging activities will be designed to show the policies that are behind these missions, namely the European Green Deal, Europes Beating Cancer Plan as well as the Sustainable Development Goals. The project consists of two main events to be held on September 30th in 2022 and September 29th in 2023, three pre events open to general public, Researchers at school activities distributed throughout the two years focused on pupils in schools and two post events as wrap-up meetings to analyse the impact. Pre-events will be celebrated on World Environment Day (5th June), World Cancer Day (4th February) and World Oceans Day (8th June), each with a main activity coordinated by different partners. Researchers at school activities will be part of a programme denominated Circular Science based on activities with innovative methodology and involving the whole school community. A Mission Book and a school certification after completing all missions will be some assets to promote participation. STEM fields, RRI principles, gender management and Open science practices will be widely covered, The European dimension will be emphasised by the active involvement of researchers with European funds and Marie Skodowska-Curie fellows and a strong collaboration with the European Universities initiatives.
