Risultati finali
The researcher fully supports open-access publishing as can be seen from the researcher’s recent publication record. Preprint articles will be also uploaded to open-access preprint repository like arXiv and BioRxiv. In addition, the research results will be presented at high-quality international conferences and workshops (such as FNANO, NANTECH, etc.). The data related to the published materials will be made available for example in Zenodo, in IDA Storage Service or in B2SHARE repositories under the Creative Commons license CC BY 4.0 to maximize the re-use of the data. All data will be stored on the group wiki page and institutional servers at KI and will be backed up by the University IT Services. If needed, cloud storages services will be used for storing nonconfidential data. Standardized protocols for the methods and treatments with clear instructions will be prepared, if not existing already, to ensure the repeatability. For quantitative data, sufficient repetitions will be made to ensure the consistency and quality. The folder structure will separate the different sample sets. The filenames will contain all descriptive and necessary information (the date at which the data was collected and, an abbreviation for the respective method or treatment applied, sample type) so that it will be easy to recognize them afterward. Datasets will be documented with the descriptive metadata (e.g., title, year of publication, dataset’s creator, description, keywords, etc.) which ensures understandability and findability of the data in the future. If needed, README files will be created for datasets to ascertain their re-usability, reading and interpretation.
1. Dissemination of the project achievements to scientific communityThe expected scientific achievements in the project, including targeted delivery of LNP-mRNA vaccines and the effect of ligand patter on the immune cell uptake, will be published in peer-reviewed, and highly ranked journals, such as Nature nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Angewandte Chemie int. Ed., etc. Dr Sun will be the first author on the manuscripts that arise directly from her fellowship. Dr Sun will present scientific achievements at least on two highly regarded international conferences such as American Chemical Society (ACS) National Meeting and Material Research Society (MRS). In addition, Dr Sun will present her results in one of KI’s seminars, which are open to undergraduates, postgraduates and academic staff. Meanwhile, the scientific achievements will be displayed on KI’s website and Högber’s homepage to reach wider academic community.2. Communication measures and public engagement strategy of the actionThe researcher will produce a dedicated video clip on YouTube for the dissemination of targeted mRNA vaccine delivery technique as a beneficial outreach activity. The visual nature of the anticipated results lends itself very well for advertising the research to the public and the wider academic and commercial communities. Contact details on the webpage will encourage comments and discussions. The researcher will also participate in a European Researchers’ Night to communicate her results with a wider target audience. In addition, KI organises a number of open days where undergraduate courses and the research activities of the school are demonstrated to the public. The researcher will produce a poster and suitable video clips for these open days and be available to answer questions from the public. The researcher will also give a talk and prepare a video about the targeted vaccine delivery project idea and results.
