The QuanG project successfully organized five PhD calls and recruited 25 doctoral candidates, implementing a fair and transparent selection process.
Doctoral Training and Support
A wide range of courses has been offered, allowing PhD candidates to tailor their academic path according to their career aspirations. Individualized mentoring and regular meetings with supervisors have been established to support them throughout their doctoral journey.
Each new cohort benefits from a dedicated "welcome meeting" introducing them to the QuanG program. Monthly meetings are organized, providing doctoral candidates with the opportunity to present their research, share relevant information, and raise any concerns. Additionally, an annual "off-site day" in the mountains is held, featuring interdisciplinary activities led by external speakers and fostering group cohesion.
Furthermore, PhD candidates have collaborated in groups on three key transverse initiatives:
• "Communicate Quantum Science" – Promoting quantum sciences among high school students.
• "Sustainable Quantum and Humanities for Quantum" – Integrating social sciences and raising awareness about sustainability in quantum sciences.
• "Quantum Across the Border" – Organizing a summer school in Grenoble in 2026 in collaboration with widening countries.
International Mobility
Several PhD candidates have undertaken four-month research stays abroad (Vietnam, Uruguay) or two-month industry internships in France. A dedicated €8,000 grant supports these mobility experiences.
Quality of Life and Integration
Doctoral candidates benefit from access to cutting-edge research infrastructures, language training, sport and cultural activities at a reduced price and administrative support to facilitate their integration.
