Project website (si apre in una nuova finestra)

The project website will be used as both the dissemination and management tool. The website will include:- Static information, referring to the project’s aim, objectives, methodology followed, pilots description, etc.- Dynamic information, such as news about forthcoming and completed project activities, events, etc.- Multimedia material, such as project presentations, videos from events, pilots, etc.- A secure private area for access by project partners, which will include a repository for the project documentation.The project website will be maintained during the whole project duration.

Improved identification algorithms (si apre in una nuova finestra)

For flow cytometers (Swisens Poleno, Plair Rapid-E+), identification algorithms will be optimized and the reference database and algorithm libraries populated for pollen, fungal spores, and selected bacteria.For impactors (BAA-500), new identification algorithms will be created for fungal spores and the reference database and algorithm libraries populated for pollen and some fungal spores.For multi-wavelength depolarization lidars, the identification algorithm for operational use targeting at some pollen families will be upgraded and applied to selected EARLINET sites.

IT Infrastructure to host SYLVA data and run the algorithms (si apre in una nuova finestra)

The IT infrastructure will consist of:1. Data storage solution- Level-0 Data storage for three SYLVA monitors will be at the LRZ (TUM-Med) supercomputing centre of the Munich universities. Newly developed /advanced databases and interfaces to application server(s) with high portability and virtualization for flexible exploitation beyond the project lifetime- Interface to level-1 data storage in the EBAS database hosted by NILU2. Application server for algorithms- Version-controlled Git-type storage for identification algorithms- Environment and computing capacity for CPU- (LRZ) and GPU- (FMI) based computations: operational and reanalysis with any algorithm stored in the project repository

Pollen, fungal spore, and bacteria reference datasets (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Reference datasets for training the identification algorithms (pollen, spores, bacteria) will be produced. Reference samples collected by WP 3 will be supplied to the monitors, datasets for each device stored for further algorithm development and evaluation.

Reference training datasets for all bioaerosol monitors (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Reference datasets of northern, southern, and high-altitude species will be created:- Target species of pollen and fungal spores collected- Relevant fungal spores and bacteria grown.

Data management plan (si apre in una nuova finestra)

In alignment with the Open Research Data Pilot, a detailed Data Management Plan (DMP) will be developed by M6 and updated in M40. The DMP will describe the data management life cycle for all data collected, processed and/or generated by the project. As part of making FAIR research data, the DMP will include information on handling the data during and after the end of the project; what data will be collected, processed and/or generated; which methodology and standards will be applied; whether data will be shared/made open access; and how data will be curated and preserved (including after the end of the project).
