Innovative green process of recovery of bioactive compounds from the reference list of edible plants and algae, and evaluation of their extracts in cell series with the desired phytobiotic properties (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

In order to recover the target compounds (flavonoids, acetophenols, total carotenoids, phenolic compounds, fatty acids, proteins), bioactive total extracts and essential oils from the selected plants and algae, environmentally friendly low-cost and high-yield extraction techniques will be applied. In particular, the hydro-steam distillation, aqueous extraction and extraction of vegetable oils through the application of microwaves and/or ultrasounds, as well as compressed liquid extraction (PLE), will be studied

The development of a plan for the management of the data that will beproduced and collected during the project lifetime to ensure all the appropriate regulations are followed.
