Social sciences are a core of the study because we research cultural context of dyeing.
Research carried out as in the plan. Main activity was the exhibition Seasons of Colours in Valo and Katve galleries in Arktikum building in Rovaniemi 10.6.18.8.2024 which exhibited natural and biobased dyes in the Northern Baltic area and novel innovations in digital printing and chemical modifications of natural dyes. Consorium members gave presentations of the Colour4CRAFTS project in DHA (Dyes in History and Archaeology) conference Oct 2023, NESAT conference May 2024 and Biocolours2024 conference in June.
First successful digital printing and colour wheel created by natural dyes. Improved attachement of natural dyes on cotton and improved wash fastness properties.
