Report on Summit and Policy Roundtable Promoting SECURE Research Career Framework

Report on SECURE Research Career Framework Summit at the end of the project to build awareness and promote the uptake of the RCF to the stakeholder community as well as allow discussion and interaction with the project on the RCF. The high-level summit will present the main outcomes of the project and focus on the RCF, mainstreaming plan, and policy briefs as well as lessons learned in the implementation of the RCF during the trials

Action Plans to Implement SECURE Research Career Framework

Scoping exercises at the trial organisations to map the draft RCF onto their existing researcher career activities and then develop integration plans on how to adopt the components of the RCF into their researcher career frameworks. The trial organisations will then develop action plans by selecting components from the integration plans to trial at their organisations and proposing how to monitor the success of the action plans and the RCF

SECURE Research Career Framework

The final version of the RCF will offer organisations a comprehensive policy framework, legal and financial advice, and recommendations to ensure attractive research careers that attract, foster, retain, and transition research talents in Europe

Policy Briefs Promoting SECURE Research Career Framework

Series of policy briefs to build awareness and promote the uptake of the RCF generally as well as specifically focusing on key aspects of the RCF to the stakeholder community. The policy briefs will focus on the TTL models, deployment of ESCO and the Competence Framework for Researchers, transferable skills training and intersectoral mobility, and the strengthening of gender equality and Open Science in research careers

First Draft of SECURE Tenure Track-Like Models

First draft of the TTL models based on the literature reviews from WP1 and key existing policies and recommendations on TTL models. This will include selecting a range of best practices covering different TTL models and conducting in-depth interviews with selected candidates focusing on the legal, financial, and administrative implementation of these TTL models as well as the challenges faced and lessons learned

First Draft of SECURE Research Career Framework

First draft of the RCF based on the literature reviews from WP1 and key existing policies and recommendations aimed at improving research careers and reducing precarity. This will include the integration of key policies and recommendations in the new Council Recommendations on Research Careers and the revised Charter and Code, how organisations can utilise the update to ESCO and the Competence Framework for Researchers, and other relevant legal and financial recommendations

SECURE Tenure Track-Like Models

The policy, legal, and financial recommendations from the TTL models will be integrated into a consolidated RCF in WP2. The TTL models will offer a range of concrete options to implement TTL models for researchers at organisations

Exploitation Plan

Exploitation plan which will utilise project results for societal and scientific purposes by concretising the value and impact of the SECURE framework. The Exploitation plan will be updated over the course of the project whenever significant changes arise

Mainstreaming plan to promote and drive uptake of the RCF by organisations employing researchers

Consultation on the draft RCF with key stakeholders including research-performing and research-funding organisations, recruitment agencies, companies, and researchers. The draft RCF will be shared with the stakeholder community via an open consultation involving surveys and interactive feedback sessions with invited stakeholders. The aim of the consultation is to ensure co-design and validation of the RCF by the community as well as to drive interest and future uptake of the RCF

Report on Trials to Implement SECURE Research Career Framework

Implement the action plans from T4.1 at each of the trial organisations and monitor the progress of the trials. The success of the trials will be evaluated according to the monitoring criteria proposed in the action plans and the lessons learned from the trials will be reported and will feed back into the finalisation of the RCF and TTL models in WP2 and WP3. The trial organisations will meet regularly along with key partners for mutual learning and support in the trials

Dissemination and Communication Plan

Dissemination and Communication plan, including a comprehensive communication strategy, including objectives of communication, which will raise the awareness of the project and disseminate project goals, progress, and final results to target stakeholders who can directly benefit from the project (RPO, RFO, Industry, NGO, Policy, Civil Society). D&C activities are carried out throughout the duration of the project. The D&C plan will be updated over the course of the project whenever significant changes arise

State-of-the-Art on Tenure Track-Like Models

State-of-the-art on existing literature and recommendations focusing on recruitment and working conditions for researchers, career development and progression for researchers, and interinstitutional, intersectoral, and interdisciplinary mobility

Risk Management Plan

Risk Management Plan (RMP) to cover all risks including Operational, Financial, Business, Socio-Economic, Health & Safety and External Risks. The RMP will include the development of risk mitigation strategies and application of contingency in order to complete project and WP objectives on time and in budget. It will also include protocols if a WP leader does not deliver on time or fail to deliver a Deliverable

State-of-the-Art on Research Career Frameworks

State-of-the-art on existing literature and recommendations focusing on recruitment and working conditions for researchers, career development and progression for researchers, and interinstitutional, intersectoral, and interdisciplinary mobility

Data Management Plan

Data Management Plan (DMP) which will cover data management methodology including project wide database, data standards, verification and reuse strategy, curation, preservation using the HORIZON EUROPE online manual. The DMP will be updated over the course of the project whenever significant changes arise
