KNOWLEDGEABLE COMPREHENSIVE AND FULLY INTEGRATED SMART SOLUTION FOR RESILIENT, SUSTAINABLE AND OPTIMIZED TRANSPORT OPERATIONS

Project description

Digital solutions for an EU level safe transport ecosystem

Enforcement authorities need access to data to ensure safe transport. The EU-funded KEYSTONE project's goal is to customise standardised digital solutions from various contexts to standardise the transport system, promoting a sustainable, efficient, and safe transport environment. The project will leverage its accumulated experience to create a seamless, interoperable, and intermodal digital transport ecosystem that can be replicated across Europe. This will enable enforcement authorities to access data for verifying compliance with transportation rules for both goods and passengers. KEYSTONE offers application programming interfaces that allow transport authorities and logistics operators to share data, reducing costs, minimising environmental impact, and enhancing safety and interoperability.

Objective

The overreaching goal of KEYSTONE is to support the development of a sustainable, efficient, and safe transport system, allowing enforcement authorities to access data for the purpose of checking compliance with rules applied in the transport of goods and passengers. The aim is to tailor standardised digital solutions that can be used from several realities to standardize the transport system. To demonstrate the validity of the solutions proposed, an app will be developed so that two highly diverse pilots can prove the efficiency of the KEYSTONE’s innovation. In order to demonstrate the validity of the solutions proposed, an app will be developed so that two highly diverse pilots can prove the efficiency of the KEYSTONE’s innovation. Using the gained experience to develop a seamless, interoperable, and intermodal digital transport eco-system that can be replicated at European level. The KEYSTONE digital solutions consists of standardised APIs for data and information sharing between transport enforcement authorities and logistics operators based on a federated approach allowing to reduce the costs of logistics thanks to more efficient operations and interoperability, to reduce the impact on the environment thanks to data sharing, the possibility to consolidate flows and to improve safety thanks to seamless information exchange with enforcement authorities and the possibility to foster the acceptance of the CCAM solutions.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Keywords

Project’s keywords as indicated by the project coordinator. Not to be confused with the EuroSciVoc taxonomy (Fields of science)

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
