This deliverable refers to task 3.2. The report will describe the European freight transport value creation system and detail pain points of involved stakeholders. Based on detailed insights from the two pilot corridors, existing local value creation systems of multimodal transportation are structured using the method of Business Ecosystem Mapping. Role profiles for central actors are derived and exchange relationships will be described based on conduted interviews with various stakeholders. The report can be used to gain insights on the intermodal transport ecosystem and identify possibilities for business model innovation.
Dissemination and Communication Plan-V2 (öffnet in neuem Fenster)This deliverable refers to task 6.1 and is a revised version of the output from deliverable 6.1 (D26). A Dissemination and Communication Plan (DCP) will be developed. The dileverable aims to design and implement a well-targeted and effective communication strategy in order to guide partners in dissemination efforts and increase visibility of project, its activities and results on a pan-European level.
Root-cause-analysis of climate-caused disruptive events in logistics (öffnet in neuem Fenster)This deliverable refers to task 1.4. The report will focus on tracing disruptive events back to their root causes, thus showcasing the effects of long-term transport policy, climate change, and other broad scale developments. The root-cause-analysis is conducted using high-resolution climate models and incident analyses of floods, fires, etc. to better understand the origins of natural/social disasters and identify starting points for political countermeasures and effective actions for improving resilience of European transport infrastructure.
ReMuNet refence model of the multimodal transport network (öffnet in neuem Fenster)This deliverable refers to task 2.1. The reference model comprises relevant elements of the chosen pilot corridors such as nodes, hubs, transport modes, special suprastructure, most important manufactures and shippers in an approx. 100 km radius. The elements are integrated into a SCOR Model or similar model designs which allows to create an ideal state of the transport network (as reference) and compare the network before and after ReMuNet.
Social effects of (interacting) disruptive events (öffnet in neuem Fenster)This deliverable refers to task 1.5. The document summarizes the results of an analysis on social effects that occur due to disruptions of the transport network. The analysis is based on investigating historic events to reveal how the network has reacted to past disruptions and to showcase how resilience has been demonstrated. The analysis particularly focuses on the intersectionality of disruptive events to shed light on the social impacts resulting form the interplay of multiple large-scale disruptive events. Understanding the social impact will improve policies and decision making when it comes to developing approaches to enhance societal resilience, raising consumer awareness of transport, supply chains, and their role in them.
Needs Analysis of relevant stakeholders for the European multimodal transport network (öffnet in neuem Fenster)This deliverable relates to task 1.1. The report comprises analysis of relevant stakeholder needs (immediate market environment (terminal operators, freight forwarders, freight carriers etc.) as well as adjacent stakeholder groups including political actors, trade unions and advocacy organizations, environmental associations, 3rd party service providers etc. for the European multimodal transport network). For this analysis on stakeholder’s value creation contribution, pain points, positioning in the value chain is conducted via desk research and through semi-structured interviews to clarify status quo of the value chain of the multimodal transport network is conducted. Relevant aspects such as the different carriers used in the corridors, the efficiency and sustainability and the number of alternative routes will be investigated in detail as well.
Dissemination and Communication Plan (öffnet in neuem Fenster)This deliverable refers to task 6.1. A Dissemination and Communication Plan (DCP) will be developed. The dileverable aims to design and implement a well-targeted and effective communication strategy in order to guide partners in dissemination efforts and increase visibility of project, its activities and results on a pan-European level.
Classification of disruptive events (öffnet in neuem Fenster)This deliverable refers to task 1.3. The classification of disruptive events will enable to describe and understand natural and social disruptive events in European transport, estimate their impact on transport infrastructure and develop possible reaction or prevention measures to mitigate their effects and increase transport resilience. Classification will include at least the follwing dimensions for different types of natural disasters and disruptive events: Type of disruptive event, geographical extent, time, effects/impact on infrastructure, effects on workforce, long-term trends, wider economic and environmental effects.
IPR Management and Sustainability Plan (öffnet in neuem Fenster)This deliverable refers to WP 6.3 and ensures the establishment of an IPR Management and Sustainability Plan, considering project assets, target groups, exploitation plans for the consortium and per individual, means and procedures for the exploitation of assets, the methodology for managing foreground knowledg the general terms of use and IPR provisions and necessary IPR measures (e.g., patents, copyrights) per asset.
This deliverable refers to task 2.2. The deliverable comprises an advanced high-performance routing algorithms to enable synchromodal door – to – door transport chains for ReMuNet. This algorithm pulls data from a set of APIs and high-end routing algorithms to determine the optimal route in all situations for road and for synchromodal routes. The routing algorithm processes the routing request, respecting dedicated deposited networks, timetable, and event data. Individual set factors, such as service provider, means of transport, individual user cost scales, travel times and restrictions can be considered as well.
Standard framework to describe European intermodal transport network (öffnet in neuem Fenster)This deliverable refers to task 1.2. The standard framework to describe the European intermodal transport network consolidates existing standards with a focus on the technical interoperability (wagons, lines, intermodal loading units) based on the CACTUS study. Further it includes a standardized typology of existing transshipment technologies (vertical, horizontal) based on the Commission’s study. A procedure for describing European Terminals and main characteristics (based on the Rail Facilities Portal) as well as Key components of an intermodal network (TEN-T/RFC infrastructure parameters and standards with focus on the two selected ReMuNet corridors) will be included within the framework as well. By including a sustainability assessment, the framework also allows for an estimation of emmissions per transport mode and distance.
ReMuNet machine processable objective functions (öffnet in neuem Fenster)This deliverable refers to task 2.3. The deliverable comprises objective functions of users within the door-to-door transport chain, which are coded in a machine processable way. These objective functions process a complexity of variables resulting from a broad spectrum of assets, e.g., intermodal loading unit, pallet, modular loading unit, etc. and industry facilities. The objective functions are subsequently aligned with the developed framework of task 1.2/D2 (physical assets) and the classification of task 1.3/D3 (disruptive events).
