First version of dissemination and exploitation plan (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

The exploitation actions will proceed in parallel and interact with the dissemination activities; both strategies will be reported within three common deliverables. Measures regarding the possibility of patenting the major outcomes and the exploitation (licensing/royalty agreements) of the produced results, monitoring of plans, progress and generation of exploitable results. Referred to Task 7.2.

Finalized morphology and geometry of the redox oxide based porous structure (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

The optimized redox material will be developed in foam and honeycomb structures with different morphology and geometries. These structures will be evaluated for stability, porosity void fraction, pore size distribution, and surface area after going through the expected operating conditions. Referred to tasks 1.3 and 1.4

Shortlist of redox compositions identified via computational screening process as in principle promising for further development (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

A first shortlist of most promising redox materials via computational screening using Density Function Theory (DFT) and thermodynamic calculations. For these calculations, commercial software and in-house built codes will be used. Referred to task 1.1

Report on thermophysical properties of the reactive material at the relevant temperatures (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Thermophysical properties (reaction enthalpy, heat capacity, effective thermal conductivity, heat transfer coefficient) and energy storage density of the optimized metal oxide will be determined using commercial and in-house built measurement systems. Referred to task 2.1

Report on thermomechanical properties of the synthesized redox material structure (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

The thermo-mechanical properties such as microstructure, density, porosity, pore size distribution, permeability, refractoriness, mechanical strength, and thermal shock resistance will be comparatively evaluated for the synthesized structures using Hg and N2 porosimetry, XRD, SEM, and mechanical strength and thermal shock resistance tests. Possible failure mechanism will be identified and corrective actions for the improvement of reactive material will be taken. Referred to task 2.2.

Redox material reactivity results after cyclic operation (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

The optimized redox material porous structures will be tested for the long-term cyclic operations (at least 200 cycles) to determine the potential loss in oxygen transfer activity, reaction enthalpy, and/or thermal performance stability. Referred to task 1.5

Finalized list of container and insulation materials (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

A list of suitable storage container and insulation materials based on thermal conductivity, mechanical and structural strength at higher-temperatures (> 1100 oC), operating temperature, corrosion, and cost will be determined. These materials will be further developed in this WP for the storage module fabrication and testing. Referred to task 4.1

Data Management Plan distinguishing data as private, publishable and Open Access, and defining the main criteria adopted to distinguish among them. Referred to Task 8.5
