A review of the content of the current guidelines will be conducted, a literature review will be conducted on relevant national guidelines, publications and experiences in the Baltic (e.g. the Swedish framework of MPAs), as well as from other parts of the world (e.g. The MPA Guide, IUCN guidance etc.). Based on the identified update needs workshops on specific topics will be arranged within HELCOM.
