Review of scientific knowledge on CCC practice

A report of a review of the existing scientific literature relating to the animal welfare, environmental, economic and social aspects of CCC will be provided.

Report on regulatory requirements

The existing regulatory factors impacting the adoption of CCC systems and proposals for will be outlined in a written report.

Report on NIP and EKIN network

A written report will be produced that concisely documents the participants and activities of the NIP and EKIN networks. This will include a scoping exercise as part of the initiation of the network to ensure that we will avoid duplication with related projects and networks.

Report on CCC knowledge and gaps

A report on the existing CCC knowledge and gaps will be produced, drawing on the results of a questionnaire shared throughout the network.

Overview report on toolkit created

An overview of the DEC toolkit available for the project will be provided, to include templates for written documents such as factsheets, practice abstracts and policy briefs, scripts for podcasts and videos, preparation for webinars and plans for resource repositories such as EUFarmBook.

DEC plan agreed by the consortium and ready for use

A DEC plan will be produced to cover the main channels for DEC that the consortium will adhere to for the rest of the project. This will include outlining where practice abstracts will be reposited (for example EU FARMbook and EU CAP Network) and in which format they will be provided.

Resource flow diagram of CCC systems

An annotated diagram(s) outlining the resource flow model of CCC systems and their variants for sustainability aspects such as water use, animal welfare, carbon, societal acceptance and antibiotic use, will be provided.
