Preliminary report on inconsistencies, interoperability methods and alignment of observations and models (si apre in una nuova finestra)

This deliverable will report on the preliminary outcomes of Task 3.1:Overcoming observational heterogeneity between domains and communities, Task 3.2: Consistency in Earth observation (EO) of the LSI and Task 3.3: Closing the gap between models and observations.

LandSeaLot Initial Exploitation Plan (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Building on the results stemming from WP2, and in collaboration with WP Leads to bring in developments from other activities across the project (WP3-WP5), will produce an Exploitation Plan for all the Key Exploitable Results, considering relevant intellectual property (IP) rights and stipulations brought by the IP Management Plan (WP1). This will be the initial version of the LandSeaLot exploitation plan.

A Communications & Outreach Plan (COP) will be produced by M6. The Plan will include a stakeholder mapping exercise, as well as specifying the strategies, objectives and actions that will be undertaken to reach key target audiences, supporting key project activities (WP2-WP6) with concrete outreach, dissemination and/or exploitation activities towards delivering their expected results and maximising their long-term impact, feeding and connecting with T7.4. It will also establish branding guidelines for the project (M3), including templates for communicating under a shared identity. The Plan will be updated in M18 to reflect latest developments and new opportunities/challenges arising during the project implementation.

Project Management Handbook (si apre in una nuova finestra)

The Project Coordinator (PC) and the Project Coordination Group (PCG) will be in charge of the ongoing management of the project and oversee the governance structure with constant support from WP co-leaders. The PC will report to the EC, manage any potential deviations during implementation, and ensure: 1) Contract administration (including the Consortium Agreement); 2) Financial management – receiving the pre-financing and cost reimbursements from the EC, collecting cost statements and preparing the financial submission to the EC, and other financial operations (receiving payment from the EC and allocating it between participants; keeping accounts of payments received and distributed and collection of cost statements and their subsequent delivery to the EC); 3) Solution of conflicts and overcoming problems that may arise, dealing with any amendments and deviations from the Description of Actions; 4) Production of management reports and integrated cost statements – periodic and final technical and financial reports; 5) Writing and submitting periodic and final financial and technical reports in line with the Grant Agreement; 6) Processing and verifying Deliverables and submitting to the EC. The PC will be responsible for preparing and delivering, in M6, a project management handbook for common understanding where all project management details will be explained. The handbook will be an overview of the management and procedures to ensure efficient execution of the project.

D6.1 Data Landscaping report will describe the data and data flows in the integration labs. The data flow landscape (Task 6.1) will focus on four types: river discharge and load data, low-cost technologies, citizen science concepts and remote sensing. For each entity two LILs are selected and the data flow for the particular entity, relevant for the specific LIL, will be analysed resulting in a good understanding of what is needed on the data management side to defragment and reduce gaps in environmental observations at the LSI to support data products/knowledge for sustainable blue economy and adaptation to the increased anthropogenic pressures and climate changes for the specific challenges as targeted in the LILs.

Comparisons and recommendations to LILs on low-cost technologies and potential and existing citizen science communities (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Equipped with the outcome of M4.1, the prospecting work of tools and collection systems will start in parallel. The partners working on Task 4.2 sub-tasks will coordinate their approaches by co-creating the catalogue of technologies and communities to be investigated. Sub-task 4.2.1 (SMHI, IFR, ETT, +ATL, HCMR, USTIR, MARIS, PML) This sub-task will evaluate, classify and validate the most suitable low-cost sensors/techniques which could fill the LILs’ gaps. The activity considers pre-existing knowledge and specifications as well as outcomes from T4.1. Sub-task 4.2.2 (TEM, SMHI, IFR) TEM will perform a (field) review of the communities that could potentially use the techniques identified in sub-task 4.2.1. Assessments of local needs, resources, capacities and interaction with local stakeholders will be carried out, with an emphasis on marinas. Attention will be given to local culture and language. Existing citizen science initiatives will be investigated as well as communities demonstrating a potential for citizen science efforts. The outcome of the investigation will contribute to task 5.1. This deliverable reports on the outcome of those sub-tasks providing a comparison and recommendations to LILs on low-cost technologies and potential and existing citizen science communities.
