Report and Policy Brief on contemporary IFM concepts in EuropeD 3.1 is the result of Task 3.1 Review and analysis of IFM concepts in practice and teaching. It collects and categorizes the different IFM concepts in Europe according to their origin, objectives. A policy brief will be attached to this report.

Participatory agreed set of key indicators for monitoring and reporting IFMFrom the pool of potentially relevant IFM indicators, and following a participatory multi-stakeholder process, a set of best suitable, feasible and easily comprehensible key indicators are chosen to assess the success of IFM at local and national levels in Task 5.2 Selection of key indicators for IFM. For D5.2 fact sheets on the agreed set of indicators will be elaborated which contain meta information, e.g., on rationale, data sources, measurement unit, reporting notes, jointly agreed targets/thresholds, and supporting instructions and definitions.

Stakeholder Engagement strategy incl communication and dissemination planFollowing TRANSFORMIT’s Stakeholder engagement-focused approach, we will initiate our activities by developing a Stakeholder engagement strategy, which aims at identifying stakeholders’ needs and develops communication and dissemination activities based on their preferred communication channels. Catalogue of DSTs supporting IFMThis deliverable is the output of Task 5.4: Screening of decision support tools. The catalogue will contain a description of different decision support tools (DSTs) in use in different European conditions and biogeographical regions as well as in North America and China, supplemented with an assessment of their IFM application capability. The DSTs will be described in uniformly designed factsheets (appr. 10 countries with a target of 5 DSTs/country) as a catalogue suitable for informing forest planners and forest professionals.

Pool of potentially relevant indicators for IFM at national level and for lower levelAs part of Task 5.1 Identification of potentially relevant indicators for IFM this deliverable will identify potential indicators to measure and assess forest biodiversity, ecosystem services, adaptive capacity and resilience of forests and other relevant aspects including indicators to assess the economic performance of IFM (quant./qual methods) building on existing indicator sets and relevant research projects.
