Periodic Reporting for period 1 - CCAM-ERAS (CCAM-Employment Realization through the Acquisition of Skills (CCAM-ERAS))
Berichtszeitraum: 2024-06-01 bis 2025-07-31
The project will also deliver an interactive online tool to estimate employment effects under different scenarios, using the E3ME macro-econometric model. In addition, a social impact assessment model for passenger and freight transport will analyse wider economic and social consequences.Based on use cases from the innovation radar, CCAM-ERAS will propose new curricula, lifelong learning initiatives, and reskilling and upskilling programmes. These measures will prepare the workforce for new roles, reduce the risk of job displacement, and ensure that technological progress translates into shared opportunities. The results will converge in a roadmap that outlines strategies for the socio-economic transition to CCAM. It will highlight prerequisites for job growth, identify innovation opportunities, and anticipate future skills demand, while also addressing risks such as job relocation and unemployment.By leaving behind a stakeholder community, an innovation radar, impact assessment tools, and education proposals, CCAM-ERAS ensures that its benefits extend beyond the project’s lifetime. It offers policymakers, industry, and educators the knowledge and instruments needed for a fair and sustainable transition. In doing so, it recognises that the deployment of CCAM is not only a technological challenge but also a social one, requiring preparedness, inclusiveness, and a long-term vision.
Community Engagement (WP2) - The CCAM-ERAS project has successfully launched activities to build and expand its community. A major milestone has been the creation of a functioning stakeholder community and database, ensuring broad engagement across industry, education, policy, and social partners. The first Community Meeting in Brussels brought together stakeholders to discuss labor market, societal, and regulatory perspectives, providing valuable insights for subsequent work packages.
Innovation and Analytical Foundations (WP3) - WP3 has advanced the development of the Innovation Radar and delivered important analytical outputs, including the CCAM Scan, the PESTLE analysis, and the selection of six use cases for both passenger and freight transport.
Measuring and Forecasting CCAM Impacts (WP4) - WP4 has laid the foundations for assessing the socio-economic and employment impacts of CCAM. This includes the supply chain mapping, the definition of assumption on labor and skills effects and conducting extensive stakeholder and users research across several European countries to identify the broader societal effects of CCAM deployment.
Labor Market and Skills Development (WP5) WP5 has focused on analyzing skills mismatches and competence needs, directly linking labor market analysis and educational needs with the selected use cases.
Communication and Dissemination (WP7)- WP7 has been instrumental in increasing project visibility and outreach. Key achievements include the launch of the project website, social media channels, and a communication plan. Ongoing efforts focus on showcasing results, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication and dissemination throughout the project’s lifecycle.
