New tech education to close the global skills gap
The global skills gap is projected to reach EUR 7.87 trillion, with 85 million job vacancies remaining unfilled by 2030. Accelerated by the pandemic and rapid digitisation, the demand for tech talent is soaring, creating a pressing need for up-to-date training solutions. By 2025, 149 million new technology jobs are expected, intensifying the urgency for effective education. To address this crisis, the Turing College, backed by the EIC’funded TER-AI project, offers a pioneering solution as an AI-driven online tech college. With its personalised, hands-on approach and senior-to-junior mentorship model, Turing College is designed to efficiently bridge the skills gap and meet the growing demand for tech expertise.
Objective
The global skills gap, estimated at 7.87tr and 85m unfilled vacancies by 2030, has been accelerated by the pandemic and the digitization of various sectors. The demand for high-income tech jobs is growing, with estimated 149m new technology jobs by 2025. As high-income jobs, particularly in technology, continue to grow, there is a pressing need for education solutions that can provide relevant and up-to-date training to meet the evolving skills demands of tech companies. To address this, Turing College offers an innovative and scalable solution as the world's first accredited AI-driven online tech college. With flexible, personalized, industry-relevant education, hands-on training, unlimited mentorship and a talent marketplace, Turing College aims to bridge the talent shortage in the tech sector. We offer a unique pedagogy approach, empowering senior students to tech junior students, and reducing the demand for instructors by up to 10x. Our solution targets the 2 trillion higher education market, catering to the growing demand for upskilling and reskilling in the tech industry. We aim to help millions get AI and tech skills needed to foster society to a more productive, peaceful future.
Successful commercialization is projected to reach over 49,000 students by 2028, generating 148 million in annual revenue and creating up to 1,050 new jobs.
