Making Driving Safer with Augmented reality

Project description

Accelerating AR developement to enhance driving safety

In the automotive world, the drive for advanced human-machine interfaces (HMIs) is accelerating, yet many manufacturers struggle with the complexities of augmented reality (AR) development. The market for automotive AR is booming, with a projected EUR 6.6 billion total addressable market, but there is a notable gap in tools tailored for this niche. With this in mind, the EIC-funded Rocksolid AR project aims to enable immersive AR experiences in vehicles by providing comprehensive software development tools through its flagship product, Rocksolid AR Studio. Designed to accelerate AR development, testing, and deployment, Rocksolid AR Studio supports both premium and non-premium models, helping automotive OEMs transition from traditional manufacturing to a software-centric future.

Objective

Basemark is a company with a mission to improve driving safety and enjoyment through Augmented Reality (AR), focusing on the automotive AR market. Basemark aims to help automotive OEMs transition from traditional manufacturing to software-centric operations by providing software development tools. Basemark’s flagship product, Rocksolid AR Studio, simplifies AR development, testing, and deployment for both premium and non-premium vehicle models.
In the automotive industry, there is a growing demand for advanced Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) utilizing AR technology, but there is a lack of tailored AR development tools. Basemark aims to address this gap, with a potential €6.6 billion Total Addressable Market (TAM).
