Capacity building strategies and programmes

Two capacity-building programmes will be designed to enhance R&I capabilities and entrepreneurship in widening ecosystems. CR and BGT will define the programmes' scope, objectives, and planning, with support from a network of advisory partners including universities, research organizations, and business entities.
Innovation missions & mobility – program

The innovation missions and mobility program will facilitate staff exchanges among academic and research personnel across partner regions, managed by BETA, AREI, PUL, and LPNU. Up to 15 researchers will be hosted for at least 2 weeks each, providing exposure to R&I work and networking opportunities to support future projects.
Open call – FSTP

An open call will be launched to award €50k in cascade funding to SMEs for innovative projects in smart farming and circular bioeconomy. Guidelines with clear assessment criteria will be provided, and the call will be promoted through project and partner channels.

Data Management Plan & Open Science Guidelines

A plan describing the procedures and behavior of the research outputs generated by the project, where managing the research data according to FAIR principles, considering the main data management points and open science practices, will be described.
R&I Action Plan

An R&I Action Plan will be developed to establish excellence hubs and interconnected R&I strategies in Widening regions, including Ukraine. This plan will outline a collaboration structure, identify at least five funding schemes, and include the preparation of two EU research and innovation proposals.
