Objective
DIALOGIC builds directly on the EIC Pathfinder ASTOUND project, which delivered a first-generation cognitive robotics platform for real-time analysis and transformation of complex documents. ASTOUND’s modular system, featuring a linguistic-pragmatic analysis engine, Theory-of-Mind (ToM) module, and interactive web-based editor, demonstrated the ability to flag violations of Grice’s Maxims, adapt explanations to diverse user profiles, and support collaborative drafting. These results, validated in pilots with leading insurers and peer-reviewed (Strachan et al., Nature Human Behaviour, 2024), form the technical backbone of DIALOGIC.
DIALOGIC advances these core modules into a scalable, production-grade platform for the insurance sector and beyond. The solution integrates a SaaS text editor grounded in linguistic pragmatics, a novel Dynamic Portable Document Format (DPDF) that encodes both semantic structure and real-world user interaction, and the JedAI browser plugin, which uses ToM to personalise content for each reader. The platform also introduces the TRIC Label, a transparent, AI-driven quality benchmark for truthfulness, relevance, informativeness, and clarity.
DIALOGIC addresses the persistent complexity and opacity of insurance documents, which current tools and LLM-based assistants fail to resolve. It delivers measurable gains: pilots with AXA and ACB brokers showed a 30% increase in comprehension, 40% fewer complaints, and 25% lower support costs. The platform is fully aligned with EU regulatory requirements (IDD, Accessibility Act, AI Act), supports digital inclusion, and is validated for accessibility and security (EN 301 549, ISO 27001).
By transforming ASTOUND’s research into a market-ready, patent-protected SaaS solution, DIALOGIC sets a new standard for clarity, compliance, and user empowerment in digital insurance communication, with strong scalability to adjacent sectors.

Net EU financial contribution. The sum of money that the participant receives, deducted by the EU contribution to its linked third party. It considers the distribution of the EU financial contribution between direct beneficiaries of the project and other types of participants, like third-party participants.
