Obiettivo
The study is split up in five topics. The first topic is a basic study on the definition of benchmarking. The other topics will be developed on the basis of this conceptual definition.
The criteria for good benchmarking procedures will be evaluated. An inventory will be made of the existing benchmark systems in transport in Europe. The possibilities of technical improvement for benchmarking will be examined. Based on the research study and the communication with the thematic network, a guideline for benchmarking will be set up.
