Objective
Overall aim: upgrade research potential of host, to obtain relevant results in the field of development of new light mechatronic systems based on dynamics and control optimisation.
Objectives:
- Optimise modelling of dynamics of mechanical systems of assembling robots and CNC machine tools for rapid machining (gears, screw-nut mechanisms, shafts, flutes, couplings, precision linear motion guides, bearings).
- Experimental validation of the theoretical studies on existing robots, CNC machine.
- Implementation of light structures and new control systems.
- Dissemination of relevant results within the international research community.
Objectives achieved by:
- train staff at partner organisation (knowledge acquisition);
- refine methodology; establish additional required equipment;
- upgrade research equipment within eligible expenses;
- by knowledge transfer from hosted and trained staff;
- theoretical modelling on specialised existing or developed software;
- experimental research by using measurement and data acquisition devices established in the research methodology, data processing;
- match experimental results against theoretical models: corrections and validations;
- redesign the key dynamic components; replace with new light structures and carry out tests;
- redesign control systems of robots and CNC machine for improved dynamic behaviour.
- set up a database with validated models of various components of mechatronic systems.
- presentation of research reports in international journals, at conferences, and to representatives of industry Relevance of project objectives to Specific and Work Programme;
- development of human resources and facilities for research at European level at the host organisation, by the development scheme;
- transnational development and transfer of research competencies;
- contribution to the furthering of the European research area of light mechatronic systems dynamics and control;
- balanced participation of women researchers

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
