Periodic Reporting for period 2 - Treble (The virtual sound platform of the future)
Berichtszeitraum: 2023-10-01 bis 2024-06-30
Treble has developed a disruptive sound simulation technology based on an entirely new paradigm (“wave-based” methods versus traditional “ray tracing” methods). This technology opens a vast array of new opportunities in engineering design and metaverse applications. Treble Technologies aims to revolutionize sound simulation through advanced, real-time acoustic modeling. The project's main objectives include continuing the development of our high-fidelity simulation engine that can handle complex acoustic environments, providing accurate sound rendering for various industries such as architecture, automotive, and virtual reality. By leveraging our state-of-the-art algorithms and machine learning, Treble aims to improve the accuracy and speed of acoustic simulations, making them accessible and useful for a broad range of applications. Treble offers a ground-breaking cloud-based sound simulation software platform with a cutting edge proprietary simulation technology at its core with two main capabilities:
- Sound simulation: predict, design and optimise how products and buildings will sound
- Sound rendering: generate authentic sound in a virtual domain.
The technology is 100x faster than current technologies, resulting in a complete paradigm shift in sound simulation.
70% of people are unhappy about their sound environments in buildings, people with hearing aids have a hard time hearing, sound quality in video conferencing is inadequate, more than 1 million healthy life years are lost every year in Europe alone due to noise and more. The current methods are time consuming and not capable of delivering perceptually authentic sound. Research has also shown that the lack of authentic sound breaks the immersion into the virtual domain and leads to fatigue of users. So by providing a cloud based software solution as described above, that is easier and quicker to use - Treble wants to enable a better sounding world for all.
