HELIOS (Towards Total Scene Understanding using Structured Models). The HELIOS project was designed with an ambitious goal in mind: working towards providing computers with a comprehensive understanding of a scene viewed from cameras.
Substantial progress was made within the grant on segmentation and tracking of objects as well as how to learn their shape. This work has been led to a spin out Oxsight which produces augmented reality glasses and has also been used in applications as diverse as driver less cars and mobile phones.
