Verifying and Synthesizing Software Compositions. The theme of this research is developing computer programs to prove the safety of other computer programs. A full solution to this problem is the holy grail of computer science and a long standing open problem. This research shows that this problem is solvable in certain realistic situations using state of the art techniques in computer science and logic. The results were integrated into an open source system which is already being deployed to prove the safety of distributed systems.
