PISCOPIA Programme

Final Report Summary - PISCOPIA (PISCOPIA Programme)

The "PISCOPIA Programme" has been an innovative programme promoted by the University of Padova (UNIPD) which aimed at increasing opportunities for experienced researchers, in terms of mobility across Europe, multisectorial training and career development. It lasted 60 months and was opened to any research topic within the scientific disciplines studied at the UNIPD. Thanks to an accurate selection process, 26 talented researchers from all over the world were recruited for a 12 or 24-month fellowship. UNIPD contributed in this way to the mobility of researchers across the European Research Area and to the internationalization of the Veneto Region and the Italian Research System.
The project boosted the development of other research programmes and initiatives at UNIPD to find and support the best researchers (Talent@UniPD, Supporting TAlent in ReSearch@University of Padova - STARS Grants, MSCA Seal of Excellence @UniPD) and promote innovative research lines.
Piscopia fellows were satisfied by this experience which helped them to step towards an established career as independent researchers, strenghtening their scientific expertise, broadening and deepening their individual competences, in particular in terms of acquisition of multi or interdisciplinary skills and inter-sectoral experiences, setting the premises for new international collaborations.
