Cloud Interoperability Plugfests Outcome Report 1

The outputs and reports on interoperability between the different components as teted within the individual plugfests. These will be closed deliverables to enable participation by closed as well as open implementations of the standards that may not be market ready when tested. Each of these will contain the executive assessment of the adoption of the relevant standards and a qualitative measure made of the adoption, our adoption gauges which we will publish on CloudwatchHub.

Technology Round-up and Market Readiness Report – first iteration

The Technology Round-up is an eMagazine designed for cross-unit fertilisation. It is thematically structured and features articles and success stories (e.g. technology breakthroughs, new services/solutions/deployments), and snapshots on new projects. The eMagazine is circulated 1-month after Concertation meetings as a round-up of key outcomes with coverage of the prize winners. The related Market Readiness Report provides a concise analysis of the emerging value propositions for the marketplace, sustainability strategies and business models, and identifies opportunities for OSS re-use. As content of this deliverble is dependant on the timing of Concertation meeting, the delivery date may change. The document will be delivered at the end of the month after the Concertation meeting.

Preliminary Roadmap to a Cloud Market Structure encouraging Transparent Cloud Pricing – First Iteration

This deliverable, which will have 2 iterations in months 12 & months 24, would be expected to be of benefit to existing and future cloud market participants, including those currently less involved, such as insurance companies, financiers and hedge funds, but will also be a valuable resource for policymakers, stakeholders & the European cloud computing community on how the cloud market structure should develop.

Structure and aspired outcomes of Cloud Interoperability Plugfests

Report to describe the activity within a cloud plugfest including tooling and documentation inputs as well as expected outputs.

Risk-based decision making mechanisms for cloud service (Final iteration)

Reporting on the analysis of information security, interoperability and legal requirements and the definition of risk profiles for SMEs and Public Administrations (PAs). The deliverable will include: Collection and analysis of security, interoperability and legal requirements; creation of risk profiles for SMEs and Pas; definition of the minimum security measures mapped against risk levels; Backbone of a standard Cloud Service Agreement.

Risk-based decision making mechanisms for cloud service in the public sector (first iteration)

This report establishes the basis for the methodology targeting the development of risk profiles. Despite the non-sector specific nature of the proposed approach, D3.2 will focus on Public Administration as an initial target for risk profile validation (D3.5).

Mapping of EU cloud services, solutions and providers

Within input from all mini workshops and summaries from the adoption Deep Dives this will support the overall technical readiness levels of products and solutions developed within the projects.

Security and Interoperability Standards Status

This deliverable reports on the status of the security and interoperability standards analysed in Task 3.1. It will include a list of standards in use in related FP7 and H2020 projects; identified standardisation gaps; relevant contributions to SSO/SDO; and a list of recommended priorities for new standardisation efforts.

Mapping of EU cloud services, solutions and technological readiness – first iteration

Following the first clustering workshops, define the key readiness aspects of technologies that have been specifically developed within the projects, ordered in nearness to market to ensure understanding of value outputs from projects. This will include descriptions of non-technical best practices etc. that have been achieved by the projects

Legal recommendations on EU cloud computing services

This deliverable will facilitate the understanding of the legal documentation related to cloud computing services targeting SMEs, Public Authorities and CSPs.
