T1.2: End-user studies: on-line survey was prepared and many interviews with our existing customers (being SMBs) were carried out to estimate market penetration and potential, as well as to to gather their preferences and willingness to pay.
T1.3: Regulatory framework and IP protection: freedom to operate analysis was carried out with IP protection strategy planned
T1.4: Partners search: commercialization and dissemination partners in target countries have been selected, based first on the commercialization partner profile.
T1.5: Commercialization risks assessment: main business risk and their consequences and probability of risk occurrence were identified
T2.1: User requirements: processes and constraints (use cases) in different market segments were identified.
T2.2: Technical gap analysis: current technology status was compared with user requirements and key features to be implemented were identified.
T2.3: Production planning: plan for bringing into production the features identified above was prepared with manufacturers selected and costs estimated
T2.4: Technological risks assessment: various technological risks together with their consequences and probability of occurrence were identified. To minimalize their negative impact contingency plans were prepared.
Also, work plan for phase 2 proposal was prepared. All was used as a basis to prepare preliminary business plan
Phase 1 execution proved that our innovative project is feasible and has a great commercial value. Having determined the technological and commercial feasibility of the objectives studied in phase 1, we have prepared a detailed workplan to reach these objectives for phase 2 to mature the DABCAST solution to TRL9. Our final product will accelerate DAB+ implementation in European countries and worldwide, making it also accessible for small and medium (local and regional) broadcasters.
