V2X communications for infrastructure-assisted automated driving

Will describe the communications schemes for intersection/corridor management, platoon coordination and cooperative sensing developed and assessed in Task 5.1.

User needs, conceptual design and requirements

Summary of the findings from the stakeholder consultation, detailed use case descriptions as part of the conceptual design and formal definition of requirements.

Cooperative adaptive traffic light optimization with automated vehicles (final version)

This deliverable will contain the results of all tasks in this work-package. It will describe the scheduling and signal timing strategy for TLC optimization (task 4.1) as well as the other work package outputs and how these are tight into this algorithm. Draft version in M17 reports on tasks 4.1 and 4.2, whereas the final version in M28 also includes results from tasks 4.3 and 4.4.

White paper on ‘management of automated vehicles in a smart city environment’

MAVEN results will be placed in the broader perspective of smart / future cities and embedded with smart city principles and technologies as well as service delivery.

Protection of personal data

A plan for collection and processing of personal data of participants to system evaluation and demonstration. The deliverable will include: - Copies of opinion or confirmation by the competent Institutional Data Protection Officer and/or authorization or notification by the National Data Protection Authority (which ever applies according to the Data Protection Directive (EC Directive 95/46, currently under revision, and the national law). - The opinion/confirmation of a Data Protection Officer (if established) that all data collection and processing will be carried according to EU and national legislation. - Detailed information on the procedures that will be implemented for data collection, storage, protection, retention and destruction and confirmation that they comply with national and EU legislation. - Detailed information on the informed consent procedures that will be implemented in regard to the collection, storage and protection of personal data. - Templates of the informed consent forms and information sheet.

Cooperative environment perception algorithms

This deliverable includes: documentation of the developed cooperative environment perception algorithms.

Transition roadmap report (final version)

The roadmap will be published as a discussion and position paper that addresses the management of intelligent and highly automated vehicles in cities in general, the role of traffic management and its level of guidance at various phases of the transition more specifically, important considerations, and steps to be taken by road-authorities, standards-development organisations and other stakeholders.

Technical report summarizing performance (results) of MAVEN project

The particular steps as stated in the Impact assessment plan will be conducted. Basically, based on the field tests, simulations as well as responses from surveys, a test report will be prepared. It will summarise the impact assessment of the MAVEN project.

Ethics requirements

A plan for handling ethical requirements regarding the involvement of human participants during testing, evaluation and demonstration of the system concept. The deliverables will include: - Details on the procedures and criteria that will be used to identify/recruit research participants. - Detailed information on the informed consent procedures that will be implemented for the participation of humans. - Templates of the informed consent forms and information sheet. - Justification for the involvement of children and/or adults unable to give informed consent. - Copies of ethics approvals for the research with humans.

Impact assessment plan

Impact assessment plan will be provided and agreed among partners. In this plan all activities, roles and milestones to evaluate the assessment of the MAVEN project will be provided.

ADAS functions and HD maps

Will describe the MAVEN enhanced ADAS functions for VRUs and drivers protection (developed in T5.2), as well as the lessons learned from the usage of HD maps (performed in Task 5.3).

Detailed concepts for cooperative manoeuvre and trajectory planning and for in-vehicle cooperative environment perception

This deliverable includes: system architecture on module level, internal and external interface definitions, definition of integrated environment model, detailed concepts for algorithms cooperative manoeuvre and trajectory planning as well as cooperative environment perception.

Scheduling and signal timing strategy field prototype

This scheduling and signal timing strategy prototype has reached final integration phase and is ready for field validation and demonstration as planned in WP7.

Scheduling and signal timing strategy simulation prototype

This system prototype will offer a demonstration of the scheduling and signal timing strategy for a selection of use cases and using the SUMO microscopic traffic simulation package.

Cooperative manoeuvre and trajectory planning algorithms

This deliverable includes: documentation of the developed cooperative manoeuvre and trajectory planning algorithms.
