Periodic Reporting for period 1 - NMRNTECH (NMR-based Sensor Technology at Nanoscale)

The project proposed to develop prototype quantum sensors for ultrasensitive detection of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) signals and hard disk drive write head characterisation. In both cases, prototype devices have been developed and IP has been secured. Specifically, we succeeded in demonstration of unprecedented imaging of write head fields which is now being used in research and development departments of the respective industries. The NMR sensor has been developed so that high resolution NMR spectra can be recorded. A compact device for field studies has been developed.
