Integration data in unique database of EU marshalling yards

A report on the data collected for EU marshalling yards, such as timetables of trains, the number of track station, the availability of tracks, number and characteristics of the incoming and outgoing trains, connection between incoming wagons and trains and departure times of trains, static and dynamic rules for priority vehicles, the capacity of station, etc. used for integration data in unique database of EU marshalling yards.

Information system testing plan with test cases and scenarios and test results

A report on Information system testing plan with test cases and scenarios. This deliverable consist of defining a testing plan with test cases for testing the integration of the information system with Serbian and Bulgarian railway company information system, as well as the integration with the Serbian and Bulgarian marshalling yards automation systems.

Report on SMART data fusion and distance calculations

The deliverable will report on data fusion and distance calculations algorithms

Report on selected sensors for multi-sensory system for obstacle detection

The deliverable will report on requirements for selection of particular sensors as well as on the specifications for sensors selected in T2.1-T2.3.

Report on sub-systems conformance testing

This deliverable reports on the conformance testing of all sub-systems chosen and developed in T2.1-T2.4.

Overall framework architecture and list of requirements for real-time marshalling yard management system

This report gives an overall framework architecture of the yard management problem, based on the operational research techniques that cover simulation based rules, heuristic, dynamic programming with problem decomposition and mathematical programming. This deliverable will also include a report on list of requirements for real-time marshalling yard management, forming questionnaire form for marshalling yard operational requirements further used for data collecting (task 5.2 of WP5) and forming of database (task 6.1. and 6.2 of WP6).

Algorithms for modelling and real time optimization of marshalling process

A report on developed mathematical models and optimization algorithms for marshalling process. Optimizing of marshalling processes and deployment of wagon paths will be performed with heuristic and meta heuristics algorithms with real data acquired in T5.2. The report will include intelligent real-time optimization algorithm for marshalling yard management.

Information system testing results for simulation scenarios, integration in Serbia and integration in Bulgaria

A report on Information system testing results for simulation scenarios, integration in Serbia and integration in Bulgaria. After the bugs found during testing are fixed a second round of testing will be performed and testing results document will be updated.

Obstacle Detection System Requirements Specification

This deliverable integrates the results of T1.1 to T1.3, providing the list of requirements and specification for an obstacle detection system based on which RD will be performed in WP 2 and WP 3 , as well as WP 7 (Evaluation).

Identification of relevant information about train classification process and marshalling yard sorting methods

A report on identification of relevant information about train classification process in marshalling yard and marshalling yard sorting methods will include the analysis of the classification and sorting process performed in order to produce outbound trains with single-stage and multistage sorting modes of operation for shunting yards.

Final plan for using and disseminating the Knowledge and SMART exploitation roadmap

This report will present SMART dissemination and exploitation plan including expected and delivered outcome of the project, in terms of scientific knowledge and exploitable results, and how these are delivered to the audience (academic, industrial and society). The deliverable will report on variety of dissemination and exploitation modalities and channels adopted to ensure maximum impact from the SMART results.

SMART Dissemination, communication activities and exploitation plan

The deliverable will report on plan for all SMART dissemination, communication and exploitation activities. This will include public website (initial set-up and constant updates), all project leaflets as well as promotion in different dissemination activities.

Report on functional testing of fully integrated multi-sensor obstacle detection system

This deliverable will provide report about functional and other requirements testing of multi-sensor obstacle detection system performed in sub-task 2.5.3.

Report on algorithms for 2D image processing

The deliverable will report on algorithms to be developed in T3.2 for processing of different types of 2D images (thermal, night vision, 2D images of stereo cameras) for the purpose of object detection and recognition.

Report on real-time algorithm implementation and performance evaluation

This deliverable reports on the implementation of algorithms developed in this WP and their performance evaluation.

Design of the passive vibration isolation system

The deliverable will report on hardware solution integrated into prototype of the obstacle detection system which will lower the level of vibration transmitting from the locomotive to obstacle detection system to the acceptable level.

Identification and generation of relevant information and data flow between input and output requirements

This deliverable is a document on identification and generation of relevant information and data flow between input and output requirements. This deliverable is based on management of the marshalling yard that would control and monitor the entire system by optimizing marshalling paths (routing problem), wagon allocation, determining the required number of funds for starting the manoeuvre and time planning operations to be executed (scheduling) respecting the official timetable.

Report on evaluation of developed SMART technologies

The report will provide all the results of evaluation of obstacle detection prototype and marshalling yard management software, i.e. the evaluation of all technologies developed in the frame of WP1-6. The deliverable will report on evaluation metrics and procedures, which have been used in the evaluation process. The report will provide results of evaluation of developed technologies in defined Evaluation Scenarios (T7.4-7.5). The report will also provide update on requirements and specification based on research in initial evaluation of developed technologies reported back to development teams.

Publicly available software library for planning a marshalling process using the developed optimization algorithm

Publicly available library for planning a marshalling process using the developed optimization algorithm. This library will enable its users to model their own marshalling yard as well as inbound and outbound train parameters and perform marshalling process planning using the developed optimization algorithm outside of the information system for supervision and management of marshalling yards.

Web-based information system for supervision and management of marshalling yards

Demonstrator of Web-based information system for supervision and management of marshalling yards. Complex deliverable that includes a database for storing information system data and importing data collected in WP5, marshalling yards visual representation module, the inbound and outbound traffic data input module, module for marshalling process planning, support for integration with railway companies information systems and support for integration with marshalling yards automation systems.

Architectural design of the information system for supervision and management of marshalling yards

A prototype of architectural design of the information system for supervision and management of marshalling yards. This deliverable focuses on designing the architecture of the web-based information system for supervision and management of marshalling yards based on requirements and specifications defined in WP4.
