The work was done around 8 WP (excluding Management):
WP2: ICCAR Open Space setting up & awareness: ICCAR Platform was set up, and 1 Community with 9 Spaces created within it, reaching over 930 members. The virtual community was enriched with a Connected Car Hubs Network with +20.000 members, where all EU countries and 6 international markets are present. Evangelization and liaison actions to attract members to the community: 12 Roadshow events with the 4 pioneers, 54 info days, synergies with other EU initiatives and participation in world class events.
WP3: 4 Use Cases (HEVO, ARGUS, LITTLE and SIOTF/Botcar) elaborated a roadmap for the execution of their use case and were involved in the 1st edition of the Smartization, taking advantage from coaching and participating in dissemination to attract SMEs to the project.
WP4: Disruptors’ discovery process [Open Calls]: A Dissemination Strategy was implemented. ICCAR posts achieved 3M impressions on social media.
2 editions of ‘C-Car Pioneer Awards’ were held, one per call, with a 15.000€ price:1st given away at 4YFN 2019 to TrafficNow (Spain), 2nd given away at Autonomy Paris 2019 to Better World (France)
2 Open Calls successfully launched and managed: 1,141 applications started, 431 submitted. 64 participants selected for Smartization Programme.
FSTP paid of 1.835.499,00€ (665.000€ from 1st OC and 1.170.499€ from 2nd OC).
WP5: Smartization programme.1st & 2nd Stage: In Stage 1, a Disruptive Boot Camp was organized per batch . They were 3-day workshops, one of them the Jury Day, to decide which SMEs passed to the next stage. The SMEs who participated received 3,000. In the 1st batch 24 and 36 SMEs attended for each batch.
The 15 and 24 SMEs passing to Stage 2 of Round 1 and 2 respectively were announced after the evaluation on the Jury Day during the Disruptive Bootcamp.
A Digital Bootcamp was held at the beginning of Stage 2 of the Smartization Programme fper batch. Business and Technical Coaching services were deployed to 14 and 24 beneficiaries participating in Stage 2 (per batch).
In order to evaluate the SMEs advance to the Stage 3 an Interim Review was performed per batch. Attendance was mandatory for receiving the 2nd payment of the grant.
WP6: Smartization programme. The 13 and 18 best SMEs ranked after the Interim Review passed to the 3rd stage (1st and 2nd batch respectively), so in total 31 SMEs successfully completed the full Smartization programme. This 3rd Stage included mandatory participation in aTechnical Boot Camp organised per batch. Along the 4 months of duration of Stage 3, the 13 and 18 SMEs respectively continued with the Technical coaching (by CTAG and Mov’eo) and Business coaching (by ISDI) to achieve their technological and business challenges and roadmap. In addition, 2 new coaching services were offered: Corporate coaching (by Ferrovial Services, PSA, FIA and FIWARE) and Funding Coaching (by FBOX partner).
A Help Day per batch took place as a check-point of the overall on-going progress and coaching activities from all the 13 companies.
After a final Demo Day, which took place during Funding Boot Camps, the 13 and 18 companies were assessed on agreed KPIs in order to receive Final 50.000€
WP7: Value Links-Chains generation tries to consolidate the integration between ICCAR Disruptive SMEs and the rooted companies to impact the targeted value chains. In the end, 31 Collaboration Agreements were signed by startups and SMEs during IMPACT Connected Car acceleration programme.
WP8: Sustainability: A plan was elaborated, the follow-up on services planned, in order to help them to consolidate via Crowdfunding as well as Portfolio Management with large Private Investors (VC/Funds).
PARP, the Regional Government representative in the consortium from Poland, participated in all activities of the 1st batch of SMEs as an observer, in order to use this knowledge for the definition of a Smartization Tool-kit to replicate the approach Regional level in Poland or other EU Countries. As a result, 8 MoUs were signed with Regions to implement the ICCAR Smartization Programme
WP9: Ethics requirements: approach, internal procedures and Board to comply with the ethical standards have been established and ethical evaluations performed.
