Demonstration and Evaluation of Concepts in Buildings

The deliverable presents the results of the field tests carried out on the BRE-UK and Issy-Media platforms in Europe and the Ledpcom platforms in China; to highlight the features provided by IoRL technology on technical and user experience aspects for the different scenario environments. It provides practical recommendations, on technical and functional performances based on the results of the tests to verify the IoRL concept. It compares the original performance metrics requirements of the different building blocks and network services and the compliance to these performance metrics against desired and optimal conditions will be reported in this task and verified to be conformant to the specified metrics.

Technical Specification of Remote Radio-Light Head Transceiver

This deliverables describes the technical physical and link layer architecture of radio-light access network and light rose architecture, which contains the AC-DC driver circuit as well as the VLC modulator and mmWave RF circuits and centralised home VRAN, and requires the additional cable routing of radio over fibre.

Report on Standardisation and Regulation Activities - year 1

This deliverable documents the coordination activities of IoRL project with the other projects of the H2020 5G PPP programme. It documents all the IoRL efforts for contributing to joint horizontal 5GPPP dissemination activities and events, participating in 5GPPP technical WGs and CSAs. IoRL will cooperate with other members working on similar areas in order to avoid overlaps and to jointly promote the research activities in the common fields. This deliverable will also document the liaison with Standardisation Bodies and Implementation Initiatives. It will also report on activities focusing on regulatory issues (concerning mmWave frequency allocations and media laws).

Technical Specification of Radio-Light receiver

This deliverable documents the specification of the technical physical and link layer architecture of Radio-Light network User Equipment. This deliverable provides the design of advanced signal processing methologies for PHY and MAC to support a combined radio-light uplink and downlink access network for multiple nodes with heterogeneous multiband transmission technologies at the User Equipment, the software-based link-level simulation framework for the evaluation of the concepts and algorithms needed for the communication link of radio-light access network at the User Equipment and the hardware implementation of the transmitter reference design for radio-light access network at the User Equipment..

Techno-economics study for IoRL case applications - initial version

This deliverable presents the strategy that will be developed for exploiting the results of the project. This is a living deliverable that will be updated during the duration of the project. In this initial, first version the potential impact of the system based on the technical description will be defined.

Report on Dissemination Activites - year 1

This deliverable documents the coordinated transfer of knowledge and project results to the outside world, and within the consortium using dissemination mechanisms that include: • Submission of papers to leading peer-reviewed conferences and journals • Participation in program committees and editorial boards, through which participants can organise special sessions in conferences, special issues, etc. • Participation in forums and industrial oriented events It describes the presentations and demonstrations that will be provided at established and well-known conferences and workshops, in particular at 5GPPP organised events and jointly with other 5GPPP projects. This is a living deliverable that will be updated each year in the project.

Definition and Description of the IoRL Use Cases and Derivation of User Requirements

This deliverable describes the different sub-use cases within the main use cases themes e.g. single occupancy, multitenant, public spaces; also the split of functionality between NFV cloud servers and Intelligent RRLH, different types of lighting systems etc. This deliverables documents the technical requirements from the point of view what the user would like to see within the various use cases.

Techno-economics study for IoRL case applications - final version

This is the second version of this deliverable summarising the techno-economic analysis of the technical features that have been implemented. The economic impact of the project results on 5G will be analysed. Individual partner plans will be elaborated on how the development of networks and of new types of receiver terminals that access services within buildings can be exploited by their organisations.

Threats Analysis and Integrated Security Framework for IoRL Use Cases

This deliverable describes an integrated security framework capable of addressing the most important threats characteristic for IoRL network.

Functional & Technical Requirements Key Building Blocks

This deliverable defines the building blocks of the system and provides the functional and technical requirements of the building blocks including the interface between them. This includes the specifications for RRLH consisting of: mmWaves RF TDD module based on 802.11ad, VLC MIMO modulator and audio/motion sensor & light switch control. Additionally, this deliverable specifies functional/technical requirements for interfacing RRLH to HIPG (Home IP Gateway), and to SDHN (S/W defined Home Network). At the UE receiver side specification for half-duplex mm-waves, WLAN or HeNB transceiver will be defined. Additionally, specs for MIMO VLC receiver will defined.

Results of Concept UE Proofing Trials

This deliverables describes the functional tests carried out for different types of user terminal and transmitter of radio-light access network in real world. A set of prototypes of RRLH with VLC and 5G over mmWave modules at the receiver side will be evaluated in terms of link quality, throughput, mobile design power consumption, and interference etc.

Results of Concept RRLH Proofing Trials

This deliverable summarises the results of the functional tests of the transmitter and user terminal of radio-light access network performed in real world.

Main Results and Exploitation Goals

This deliverable provides a summary report of the main outputs and results of the project and the exploitation goals of the partners.

System Functional Requirements and Architecture

This deliverable describes the functional requirements needed for the IoRL system for the main use cases, including data flows, functional and operational requirements to address user requirements, interface requirements , data conversion requirements and a review of all the main types of electric light systems that exist with a definition of the physical constraints of the RRLH electronic systems that are required. This deliverable then describes several architectural options for implementing our solutions defining input parameters and performance metrics. Although the deadline will be provided at M8, it is a working document for the project that can be dynamically updated as required.

Building Network Services – Final

This deliverable provides the final version of a Building Network Services API, which consists of Virtual Network Functions for: End-to-end Traffic Steering, Handover, Multiple Source Streaming, Location Sensing, Home Security and Home Network Security.

SDN/NFV environment in the Home Network

This deliverable provides and documents the infrastructure for the NFVI-PoP and the interfaces for connecting the RRHs to it. The NFVI-PoP will be based on the Home gateways (HIPG), initially serving as interconnection points to the public IP-based networks and enhanced with the appropriate software tools.

Building Network Services – Intermediate

This deliverable provides the first version of a Building Network Services API, which consists of Virtual Network Functions for: End-to-end Traffic Steering, Handover, Multiple Source Streaming, Location Sensing, Home Security and Home Network Security.

Scenario Implementation

This deliverable provides the integration of the hardware and software components developed by other work packages for the target demonstration terminals. It provides the implementation of the the higher layer software applications for these terminals and thus produces the sample convergent services that will be used in demonstration and validation tasks.
