Simulation platform for carrier relaxation dynamics and material gain, experimentally calibrated and validated to be used to feed design tools for QCL optimization

This report will disclose publicly the simulation platform developed to describe the carrier relaxation dynamics and the material gain, after its experimental validation and calibration. This platform will be used to feed design tools for QCL optimization

Report on magneto-transport and electroluminescence measurement on test structure

In this document transport, magneto-transport and Electroluminescence measurement results obtained on test structures made on MQW test structures and their comparison to predictions of the simulation tools will be reported.

Kick-Off Meeting Report

This report will collect the outcome of the kick-off meeting

Demonstration on THz quantum cascade laser based on Ge/SiGe quantum wells between 2 and 10 THz and power ≥1mW

Data proving the achievement of a THz quantum cascade laser based on Ge/SiGe quantum wells between 2 and 10 THz and emission power ≥1mW will be publicly disclosed.

Demonstration of single plasmon and/or double plasmon WGs designs with optical losses below 25 cm–1 for active material operating between 2 and 10 THz

Data demonstrating the achievement of either a single plasmon and/or double plasmon WGs designs with optical losses below 25 cm–1 for active material operating between 2 and 10 THz will be published.

Demonstration of an optimised WG or cavity technology design with optical losses below 20 cm–1 for ≤ 10 µm active material operating between 2 and 10 THz

Data demonstrating the achievement of an optimised WG or cavity technology design with optical losses below 20 cm–1 for ≤ 10 µm active material operating between 2 and 10 THz will be published.

Data management plan

This document provides the plan for managing the data generated and collected during the project.
