Project description
Smart BIM based toolkit for building renovations
While information management is crucial in the architecture, engineering and construction sectors, it faces complications in the renovation sector due to complex exchanges of information and data collection. Adapting some of the technologies and methods of team collaboration currently existing in the building sector may serve to effectively increase output in the renovation industry. The EU-funded BIM4EEB project will develop an advanced toolkit based on Building Information Modelling (BIM) for renovation processes. The goal is to increase interoperability between software and participants involved in the whole chain of renovation processes. It will use smart, attractive solutions like digital logbooks and augmented reality for building retrofitting to match highest market expectations.
