Demand-driven and business co-creation for a new innovation business model

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - inDemand-RCT (Demand-driven and business co-creation for a new innovation business model)

Berichtszeitraum: 2019-12-01 bis 2021-05-31

Following the approval of the project and kick off meeting held in Brussels early December 2019, INFO Murcia has adopted a methodology after the fine-tunning process followed during 12 months in order to complete a Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT) to analyse the effectiveness of a new innovation support model (INDEMAND Model, demand driven innovation) for SMEs that will apply to provide services to necessities in the fields of Innovation, digitization and response to Covid19 identified by LARGE-TRACTOR COMPANIES in the Murcia region comparing the challenges of these companies with inDemand support (co-creation + business support) versus mere investigation of SMEs without that support.

Although initially it was planned to launch two different calls, finally there will be only one call following the recommendations of NESTA, in order to accomplish with the strict RCT methodology and due to the complexity of comparing the results of the companies in two different calls with different environments or situations and especially considering the reality adopted after the Covid19 pandemic.

According with the recommendations provided by the EASME staff, the consultants of NESTA and the different departments from INFO and the experts involved in the projects, the initial approach has been modified to accomplish with the programme requirements and the legal issues to prepare the calls and the conditions to promote the participation of the SMEs in this project.

The RCT Methodology includes an Annex 1 related to the Methodology evolution and an Annex 2 related to the Business support measures”.
During this period, the WP1 Work Package Fine tuning in the design of the Randomized Control Trial has been completed: The final version of the methodology has been discussed internally by INFO, the external colaborators and a consensus has been achieved with NESTA and the Agency.
