This deliverable will include all dissemination and communication activities done throughout the project lifetime.

INSULAE training materials (si apre in una nuova finestra)

This Deliverable will include the results of the communication activities being conducted aiming to the familiarization of especially the Follower Islands respect to the benefits and features offered by the IPT, and how to operate it. The way to be followed will include the setup of dedicated webinars (min. 2) and workshops (min. 2) with the participation of Follower Islands representatives at first and then additional EU based stakeholders. Representative stakeholders can include planners from the islands participating in similar EU projects (e.g. SMILE), while the list of contacts can include planners from other EU islands the INSULAE partners have already. As an example PPCR and CERTH are in contact with many Greek islands of various size and needs. The aim is this IPT to be used by multiple EU islands representative stakeholders as for example city planners, municipalities and potential investors (e.g. power utilities, DSOs).

Analysis of the regulatory, gender, socioeconomic and environmental aspects of the Lighthouse Islands (si apre in una nuova finestra)

A report including the most relevant regulatory, gender, socioeconomic and environmental aspects of each one of the countries which will be part of the INSULAE demonstration campaigns will be specifically included. This report will also include the main conclusions gathered from public consultations in order to cover both bibliographic sources and stakeholder’s point of view.

Citizens and tourism engagement (si apre in una nuova finestra)

A final report including all the impressions, acceptance and feedback of the islanders and other local stakeholders, collected during the 3 project showcases that will take place in the INSULAE lighthouses. This report will show the point of view of the islands stakeholders after the execution of the INSULAE project.

Report on INSULAE training activities (si apre in una nuova finestra)

This deliverable consists in a report providing a return on experience of the training activities lead on both lighthouse and follower islands. Improvement recommendations for future trainings will be included in this report.

This deliverable will collect the main conclusions reached after finalizing the modelling basic and detail engineering and equipment development activities previous to the deployment of the UC3 Empowerment of islands energy communities through 5G and IoT technologies for flexibility services at Unije Island

Recommendations on current islands regulations (si apre in una nuova finestra)

This deliverable will collect a set of specific recommendations for the public authorities of each one of the INSULAE islands. These recommendations will raise the awareness about the amendments needed in regulation towards the implementation of the most feasible and economical interventions for the Islands decarbonisation. This will be based on the outputs obtained from the IPT once implemented in the different islands. Additionally, this deliverable will include the conclusions of the overall amendments that shall be done to the European Islands regulation in order to facilitate their transition to a greener environment while preserving the ecosystems.

Citizens participation: common conclusions report (si apre in una nuova finestra)

The first part of this deliverable will consist on a report gathering the main conclusions from the participation process (questionnaires, workshops) which will take part during INSULAE project, both before and after the demonstration campaigns. Secondly, BEOF will include a methodology draft which will pave the way for the future replication of the project results, attending to stakeholders and citizens concerns.

Business model development for the deployment of the IPT and other technological solutions (si apre in una nuova finestra)

This deliverable will collect the different business models for each of the use cases that will be triggered by the project execution. These business models will evaluate the pros and cons of implementing such business models depending on different boundary conditions of the islands. These business models will just include the exploitation routes of the innovations developed in the INSULAE project.

This deliverable will collect the main conclusions reached after finalizing the modelling basic and detail engineering and equipment development activities previous to the deployment of the UC1 Joint management of hybridized RES and storage at Unije Island

INSULAE IPT user guide (si apre in una nuova finestra)

This deliverable consists in a synthetic and user friendly guidebook for the tool use. It will explain the proper utilization of the IPT, detail the different available feature and list the available intervention models and KPIs available in the tools libraries. It will include a description of the required inputs for tool use.

This deliverable is the outcome of Task 10.3. The main outcome of this document is to set the basis of the collaborations with the BRIDGE initiative and other relevant EU funded projects like the EU tender “Strengthening the cooperation on climate action among islands within and beyond the EU through the creation of an island identity within the Global Covenant of Mayors”

This deliverable will include the updates of the dissemination and communication activities including the list of performed activities and specific showcases for each demosite

Leveraging on the experience gained from the Lighthouses and demonstrated in the Follower Islands, this deliverable, result of Task 9.5, will analyse the market steps to be performed out of the project and the sectorial peculiarities of IPTs along with the INSULAE results, and will present a possible roadmap of the market deployment of IPTs.

This deliverable corresponds to Task 10.1. This deliverable explains how the project will communicate its developments and outcomes, and how the consortium will ensure visibility of the project and dissemination of its results throughout its duration. The main outcomes will be a plan identifying a set of dissemination activities to be implemented and a general communication strategy to follow during the project lifetime.

Action Plans for the Follower Islands (si apre in una nuova finestra)

This Deliverable before being delivered, will beneficiate from the results obtained primarily during T8.1 and T8.3, to include the primary results of the Action Plans towards rendering Follower Islands more energy efficient and self-resilient from an energy point of view, capitalizing on the demonstration results of the Lighthouse Islands. In this sense, this DV will propose an ad-hoc action plan for each Follower Island benefiting from the results obtained form the IPT. This Action Plan will include the a) setting-up of the top-level Solutions (Use-Cases) configuration for those that are of interest for each Follower, among the seven available, b) the description of the setting goals for each Follower, c) the guided steps that need to be followed to ensure success and d) a rough time plan associated by a preliminary Investment plan.

This deliverable will collect the main conclusions reached after finalizing the modelling basic and detail engineering and equipment development activities previous to the deployment of the UC6 Electrification of the islands transport looking to grid frequency and voltage regulation at Madeira Island

Results on the use cases potential impact on the reference islands (si apre in una nuova finestra)

This Deliverable will include the results of the analysis of the various RES solutions being primarily conducted for the case of the involved in INSUALE islands, for the case of the Reference Islands being selected in T2.2., to increase the replicability and the scalability of the Solutions on a EU level. This will be done in collaboration with the associated in this Task partners and the primary aim is to beneficiate from the detailed analysis of RES based system for the case of LH islands, to populate further the Information Planning Tool’s input data (in a form of database); thus rendering the IPT tool ready for being used across multiple EU islands. Representative data can include a) technical data (e.g. capacities, power production profiles), b) economic data (e.g. cost, RoI), c) environmental (e.g. CO2 (tonnes) emissions avoided) and e) the values for specific KPIs for all the seven Use Cases to be investigated, for different a) sized, b) located (geographically) EU islands.
