Support stakeholders in zero emission fossil fuel power plants and energy intensive industry

Engagement programme to increase diversity of stakeholders participating in the project, e.g. energy intensive industries and Member States (si apre in una nuova finestra)

A proactive engagement programme will be undertaken to determine how the diversity of the stakeholders with the ETIP can be increased. It is important that ZEP effectively represents the range of organisations with an interest in CCS and CCU.

Present outputs at SET-Plan Steering Group events and provide recommendations to other Commission initiatives, e.g. the High Level Group on Energy Intensive Industries, the development of CCS project selection criteria for Projects of Common Interest (si apre in una nuova finestra)

The work of the ETIP will be of relevance to a number of European Commission initiatives and processes The ETIP will proactively seek to engage in these activities to ensure that it communicates and disseminates the insights gained by the project

Review of the ETIP and opportunities to increase future impacts (si apre in una nuova finestra)

A review of ETIP Stakeholders will be undertaken to understand their perspectives on the effectiveness of ZEP, their priorities and how the ETIP can best support them.

Hold briefings with MSs and Commission officials on the conclusions of the reports and technical programmes (si apre in una nuova finestra)

A regular programme of external briefing programmes will be held with to ensure that the conclusions of the ETIP are understood by representatives of MSs and the EC

Disseminate the knowledge developed by the Networks and TWGs through external workshop events (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Workshops and conferences will be held to ensure that the conclusions of the ETIP are shared with relevant stakeholders and communicated more widely to those that are active on the energy climate and industrial discussions

National governments will be invited to support the realisation of the Research and Innovation activities contained in the CCS and CCS Implementation Plan

To ensure that the outputs of the ETIP meet the needs of national governments the representatives from the Government Group will be encouraged to provide input on the direction of the ETIPs work programme

Website to be used as an online, free to access repository for the knowledge generated by the project (si apre in una nuova finestra)

A website will be developed to host materials developed by ETIP. The wabsite will be free to access and be available to all stakeholders with an interest in CCS and CCU technologies.

Develop the outputs for the work packages as requested by the AC (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Over the 36 months of the grant the CCSA will work to ensure that it supports the strategic direction of the ETIP as established by the AC

It is important that the conclusions of the ETIP are effectively disseminated into other initiatives that are active in the climate energy and industrial space

CCU is an area of increasing interest There is still substantial work to be done in understanding what the contribution of CCU is to climate mitigation This report will explore this topic further

Improve understanding on the role of CCUS in a below 2⁰C scenario (si apre in una nuova finestra)

CCS and CCU technologies are expected to play a central role in delivering on the Paris Climate Agreement. This report will explore the contribution that these technologies can make to Europe's efforts to meet its Paris goals.

Develop list of further deliverables as the regulatory and policy regime evolves over 2018 (si apre in una nuova finestra)

The ETIP will respond to changes in the external landscape by reviewing and updating the deliverables over time. This ensures that the work of ETIP is effectively focused.

There is a need for a continued dialogue between stakeholders on how innovation and deployment of CCUS can be supported. The ETIP will continue to provide input to these discusssions.

The outputs of the ETIP will be shared with national government representatives to ensure that the conclusions and recommendations can be taken into account as governments consider the role of CCS and CCU to their economy.

Develop report on collaboration across the CCUS chain (si apre in una nuova finestra)

Understanding and quantifying the risks associated with CO2 storage is critical to underpin the the large scale deployment of CCS. This report will explore this topic and understand how different can collaborate across the CCS value chain.

Develop data management plan for the Pilot on Open Research Data (si apre in una nuova finestra)

The CCSA is willing to engage with the Pilot on Open Research Data as requested during the grant application process
